Transfer Day Take 2!

Well today was the day for our second attempt at transferring beautiful little embryos into their cozy home for the next nine months (fingers crossed!). Everything went as well as expected. Here's a little recap of the day:

The goodie basket I made for Jen complete with "Implanters" peanuts, "Skor" candy bar, "Success" rice, "Mission" dip, a few items that play on words for twins, and last but the most important "Lucky Charms".

Wearing our green and yellow for good luck!

Waiting for the doctor and chatting it up with the very friendly and humorous embryologist.

Our little embryos! Aren't they beauties?

A view from the petri dish before the transfer!

There they are snuggled up for the long haul.

Okay, now we wait. On January 31st we go in for a blood test to see if they decided to stick around but of course there may or may not be home pregnancy tests taken ;) So nervous!

  1. Nervous too! But wishing you so, so much luck!

What an AWESOME basket! I think you should market that. I totally would have bought that for my surro. Our transfer gift basket wasn't nearly as clever (but it was full of love and hope too).

Oh gosh, cheering and wishing and hoping. Go you guys!!!

  3. Just found your blog and sending sticky thoughts your way!!! 2nd time was a charm for us, so hoping it will be lucky for you as well! Am a GS also for family, and this is the first blog that's sort of similar to us in that way. Looking forward to following your journey!

  4. Hi girls! A friend of mine posted your blog for well wishes this morning. I was reading your blog and was so incredibly touched. You both are absolutely anazing. thinking great thoughts for you!

I have to ask because you remind me so much of two girls that I spent a LOT of time with before we moved. Are your parents names Dale and Shannon? You both looked so familiar when I saw your picture, eventhough its been 25 years since i would have seen you! I had to ask. My maiden name was Tracy Skipworth. :)

Cant wait to hopefully see hear of great news for you! :)

  6. That is so amazing!!! It's funny, but before I even saw your names I saw your smiles and totally remembered you! so bizarre I know, but was such a cool thought that it was you both! Your story is beyond touching, I'm so excited for you all. :)

What's funny too is that we have common friends too, what a small world!!! I still remember funny memories of playing she-ra, the car door that would swing open as we drove, haha, and all of us playing for hours after school. I'm so excited to see how wonderful you both are doing. :)

I'm great! Been together with my husband Dan for 13 years, we have a 2.5 year old little boy, and a seven month old little girl. We just moved to Monroe, and but always lived right around mill creek/silver Lake before.

We should catch up sometime! it would be neat for our moms too haha!
